What was the most memorable moment from your wedding day?
Rachel Says: Marrying my best friend! And, lighting the lanterns to remember those that couldn’t be here to spend our special day with us, as well as one to start our new lives together.
Kenny Says: Marrying my best friend.
Jessica’s Take: I loved when the lanterns were lit. This was supposed to be part of the ceremony, but because the wind at that time didn’t allow it, the couple and their families lit them during the reception. It was great to get everyone outside to see them off.
What was your favorite detail of the wedding day?
Rachel and Kenny Say: ALL of it! From the flowers to the mountains and hills ALL the way to the beautiful details from Donna Jo! Donna Jo (Little Willow Traders) made a barn look like a upscale fairy tail wedding!
Jessica’s Take: I loved the vibrant color scheme (Rachel told me, “Everyone thought I was crazy when I told them my wedding colors were “rainbow”), the flowers, and the arbor that Rachel and Kenny stood in front of for the ceremony. It fit the feeling of the day perfectly!
Any advice for other couples planning a wedding?
Rachel and Kenny Say: Don’t sweat the small stuff!
