Melinda and Adam, along with four-year-old Ashton, met me at Sylvan Lake for engagement and family photos. They met while living in the same apartment building back in Minnesota, and will be getting married there next summer. I have no doubt that it will be the happiest of occasions.
Melinda and Adam seemed truly at ease with one another, and couldn’t help but laugh at always-busy Ashton. Ashton is one hundred and ten percent boy, who at any moment could be found chasing chipmonks or navigating rocks. He wanted to climb the highest of mountains. He wanted to play in the water. He needed to know why those other people were allowed to ride on that bicycle boat. And he wanted a treat. A red treat. One of those nut bars. (That last part was my favorite. So smart!)
Melinda and Adam, it was great getting to meet you and Ashton. I can’t tell you what a joy it was to work with your family. I wish you the best as you plan your wedding, and hope you’re loving your first summer in the hills. Enjoy some of my favorites!
