This fun couple was just one of the reasons I loved December. I met up with them in Spearfish for engagement photos, and adored every minute. These two had each other laughing the entire time, which as you’ll clearly see, makes for the very best smiles.

Maren, what’s your favorite thing about Erik?
I would have to say my favorite thing about Erik is his smile. That’s the first thing that I noticed about him when we first met. It’s just so genuine & big, its contagious!!
I also love his loyalty & friendship. He is one of those people that will go out of his way to help someone no matter what is going on. It is just amazing how much he cares for his family & friends.
You knew you’d marry him when…
He winked at me while playing kickball. He was pitching & I was up to kick. He winked at me & then gave me this huge smile right before he pitched the ball. I have never had the butterflies & the giggles so bad! That’s when I knew I was in love & we hadn’t even gone on a date yet! I was playing hard to get the whole season, but then he winked & I fell for him right then. Seriously, who winks at people anymore? It still makes me laugh. That is when I knew that I should probably go on a date with him…
I knew he was “The One” when I met his family. They were so much fun & welcoming. It felt like home.

Not sure of a date but i knew right away. Hearing her laugh, seeing her smile, her constant joking around and positive attitude made me fall in love right away. She makes me want to be a better person and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with her.
