What was the most memorable part of your wedding day?
Kassie Says: Wow, that is a tough question. I honestly loved every minute of our wedding day! Spending such an important day with our family and friends meant the world to both Matt and I. You spend so much time and energy planning this day, but none of it would mean a thing if we couldn’t share it with the people we love most. Also having my Grandma as my flower girl was so awesome. That will definitely stand out as one of the most memorable parts of the day!
Matt Says: Two things: The first look…Kassie looked incredible and I was really happy that I made sure that I did not see the dress before than. It was an amazing surprise! The other most memorable thing was the feeling of relief that washed over me when the ceremony was over. It was just amazing to finally be married to my best friend and to know that all of our hard work and planning paid off and everything went perfectly.
Jessica’s Take: Matt and Kassie’s reception dance was really fun. The dance floor was never empty, and you could tell everyone was excited to be there and to celebrate.
What was your favorite detail of the wedding day?
Kassie Says: My dress, I love it so much. Also Tiki Man entertainment made the night amazing! Our dance was so much fun, and it was thanks to him! Oh, and our S’more bar rocked.
Matt Says: My favorite detail was the music for sure. Tiki Man really knows how to throw an amazing party! It makes the planning and stress all the more worth it when you see how much fun everyone is having!
Jessica’s Take: I agree with Kassie on all three, but I also really loved the cheerful yellow flower arrangements.
Any advice for other couples planning a wedding?
Kassie Says: Matt and I spent a lot of time discussing things that we wanted and things that were important to us. At the end of the day, it’s what you (bride/groom) want, not anyone else. Be prepared to hear everybody else’s opinions about what they think you should do. I learned to nod and smile a lot, and then we did what we wanted. 🙂
Matt Says: My advice would be first off, go with Jessica!! She’s amazing and such a hard worker, and she is so professional and patient, no matter what curveballs you might throw at her on the wedding day. Okay enough of the shameless plugs for her! My real advice is that everyone is going to tell you the wedding is all about you, and while that is surely partly true, you are throwing a party, so as long as the music and food are great, no one will remember the small “hiccups”. You don’t need to sweat the small stuff! (but you still will. haha!)
What’s the best part of being married so far?
Kassie Says: Waking up next to Matt everyday, and getting to call him my husband. It’s the best!
Matt Says: Being able to call Kassie my wife, it is truly the best feeling in the world.
