I’ve been so excited to share Brent and Amy’s engagement session! These lovebirds traveled across the state during a cold snap for a not-so-warm engagement session. Although freezing, the weather made a for a perfect setting as this pair doesn’t shy away from a little cold. Brent proposed while they were visiting the Black Hills during our blizzard in October, and having snow made it feel like everything had come full circle.
Brent and Amy, thank you for making the drive, for thinking to provide hand warmers, and for being so very sweet. I loved working with you, and cannot wait until your wedding this summer. Enjoy a few of my favorites!

My favorite thing about Amy is her calm demeanor. It really helps balance out my overactive ADD attitude!
You knew you’d marry her when…
I knew I’d marry Amy after our first long trip out to the Black Hills together. Thats when I saw the value of that calm personality in sketchy situations and also saw her adventurous side come out.
Amy, what’s your favorite thing about Brent?
There are so many things I love about Brent! The biggest thing that drew me to him is his personality. He is outgoing, adventurous, and talkative. Which balances me out and also brings out the best in me.
You knew you’d marry him when…
I always knew there was a great a chance that I would marry Brent. From the very beginning I knew that he was someone I loved being around and with. I think I really realized I was going to marry him when he told me he loved me and I didn’t say it back. He was patient with me as I sorted out what it meant to tell Brent that I loved him. Two days later I told him I loved him, and from then on I was ready to be his wife.
