It’s hard to imagine that I met this beautiful girl when she was in middle school—a couple of years before we became cousins in-law (that’s a real thing, right?). It feels very sudden that she’s a senior in high school, prettier than ever, and on her way to doing bright things.
During Miki’s short break from many-a-summer-camp (that’s what happens when you’re good at everything!), she was in the neighborhood, so we met up for senior pictures. We decided on an early morning shoot where pretty light, good company, and lots of shoe choices made it easy to forget that we got up before the sun. The session went on for longer than usual, because I just couldn’t stop. Every time we turned a corner, I would see something different, get much too excited, and had to ask her for one more shot. And three. And four.
Hanging out with Miki and her entourage made me wish that Brett and I could have followed them to their next stop in Nebraska for the 4th of July. I’m sure we missed out on food, laughing, and nap taking on the giant couch—all of which happen to be some of my favorite things.
Miki, thank you so much for asking me to take your senior pictures. I had such a great time, and can’t wait to see where life takes you next! Enjoy a few of my favorites!
This girl and your images are simply beautiful. Very nice!!
