Gen & Josh: Black Hills Wedding Photographer

Gen is a girl who knows what she wants. The first dress she tried on was the one she chose, and she knew it was absolutely perfect. When she and Josh couldn’t swing the fall wedding date she’s always dreamt about, she planned a gorgeous fall wedding anyway.  And her groom is all she’d ever hoped for in a best friend and husband.

I was crazy about Gen and Josh when I got to work with them at their engagement session, and could hardly wait to see her ideas come to life for their August wedding. I wasn’t disappointed. The more time I got to spend with them and talk with their families, the more I admired their love for one another. He was made to be her husband, and she his wife.

Gen and Josh, thank you so much for asking me to be your photographer, and for being so true to yourselves and to each other. I loved spending the day with you and your families, and wish you nothing but happiness in your new beginning.

Enjoy a few of my favorites!

The photo on the left makes me smile.  She was so excited to be in her dress…

Such a stunning bride.

All of the flowers were arranged by Gen and her family. I know what you’re thinking, but it gets even more amazing. They grew them, too! And the bride herself harvested the wheat!

Some of my favorite dancing moments.
