What was the most memorable part of your wedding day?
Patrick and Julie Say: The most memorable part of our day was the beautiful scenery. It was absolutely perfect weather and the wedding site was so amazing and beautiful. The canyon wall, the fall colors, and the sunshine was perfection.
Jessica’s Take: I’m going to risk sounding sappy here, but Patrick and Julie’s first look was the stuff fairytales are made of. If you know these two, you know how genuine they are, and their love for each other leaps out of every photo from that part of the day (and if we’re being honest, every other part of the day, too.)
What was your favorite detail of the wedding day (music, flowers, cake, etc.)?
Patrick and Julie Say: We honestly can’t pick a favorite detail… We worked with the best vendors in Rapid City! I loved the rich colors and unique flowers in the bouquets, I loved the cupcakes and their display. And our DJ was the perfect balance of there when you needed him and behind the scenes.
Jessica’s Take: I loved the color palette of the florals. They were a stunning combination for a fall wedding.
Any advice for other couples planning a wedding?
Patrick and Julie Say: Consider budgeting for a wedding the coordinator for at least the day of. It was fabulous to not have to worry about about anything but enjoying your day. Our wedding coordinator called the shots- if anything went wrong the day of, the mother of the bride and the bride did not know about it!
What’s the best part of being married so far?
Patrick and Julie Say: The best part of being married so far is the partnership. I know it sounds cheesy but we are connected in a new way that has really opened up a whole new level of trust, comfort, and teamwork. I have my best friend committed as my life-buddy; let the new adventures begin!
