From the Happy Couple….
1. What was the most memorable part of your wedding day?
Kelby: I loved getting ready with everyone, the ceremony, and showing my dad my dress for the first time. And my favorite part of all was seeing the look on Tucker’s face during our first look and walk down the aisle. It was overwhelming. He was beaming at me with love, and I knew that he was just as excited as I am to spend the rest of our lives together.
Tucker: The wedding ceremony, and seeing Kelby for the first time before the ceremony.
Jessica’s Take: The first dance! It was pouring rain, and the wind blew that rain sideways into the Pavillion, but Kelby and Tucker continued to dance. And smile. Such a great example of an imperfect situation turned into a perfect moment!
2. What was your favorite detail of the wedding day?
Kelby: I loved Steve’s (our pastor) words of encouragement and his message for our ceremony. Also I loved my bouquet— each kind of flower represented the seven people that have passed and were not there. Also, the setting (State Game Lodge Pavillion in Custer State Park) was perfect, so we didn’t need many decorations.
Tucker: I loved the layout of the environment…the trees, the sunshine, green grass and smiles on everyone’s faces. God truly was present during the ceremony and celebration, and that had to be the most fantastic detail of all.
Jessica’s Take: The wildflower arrangements in the aisle as well as Kelby’s bouquet. The shades of purple were stunning!
3. Any advice for other couples planning a wedding?
Kelby: Don’t get to stressed with all that is going on, because it will take away from you and your spouse’s wedding day.
Tucker: Love your future spouse and don’t let any pain and frustration get in the way.
4. What’s the best part of being married so far?
Kelby: Spending time with my husband!
Tucker: Being with the one I love.
