My first engagement session of 2013 took place last weekend, and had it been warmer, I would have walked around Sylvan Lake with these two all day long. (Although, had that been the case, I think Scott might have joined the fisherman out on the ice.)
We chose a very windy day, but as we tromped around through the snow, we all agreed the weather could have been a whole lot worse. And personally, I didn’t think the afternoon could have been any better. I adore them, and cannot wait until their wedding this coming summer!
Scott & Jenna, thank you for making time for engagement photos, (I know it was a busy weekend!), for being so laid-back, and for braving the elements—all the while making each other smile. Enjoy a few of my favorites!

Scott’s favorite thing about Jenna:
My favoite thing about Jenna is how much she cares and loves for me, her family, and her friends.
Scott knew he’d marry Jenna when…
I knew I was going to marry Jenna after about a month of dating, when I knew I loved her and could not imagine being without her. Also it didn’t hurt that I found out how open she was to fishing and watching the Minnesota Twins.
Jenna’s favorite thing about Scott:
Everything put together! One of my many favorite things about Scott is the little, random, goofy stuff he does that makes me laugh.
Jenna knew she’d marry Scott when…
I think I would have to say I knew I wanted to marry Scott after the first time he took me to his hometown (a weekend involving a Twins game, muskrat hunting, church, family, and lots of happiness). That’s when I realized he was my future.
