Dustin & Tyffany: Black Hills Wedding Photographer

Outside of the church it was cold and dark. The rain didn’t even consider a short breakā€”not even for Dustin and Tyffany’s first look. I was disappointed. But most of all, I didn’t want Tyffany to be disappointed.

Inside the church I found a bride, smiling and laughing and tearing up at the thought of her marriage. She merely shrugged her shoulders at the weather, and continued preparing for her day. Being kept inside wasn’t about to dampen this girl’s spirit. The first look was moved from outside to the front of the church, where Dustin’s reaction to his bride was followed with a long embrace. One that made it clear that it didn’t matter what else the day might bring, or where the photos were taken. They were together, and they were about to become husband and wife.

Dustin and Tyffany, I adore you for keeping sight of what is most important. Thank you so much for the honor of photographing your wedding day. I hope you enjoy a few of my favorites!

Old, new, and blue. Tyffany’s mother and grandmother both wore this garter on their wedding days, and this Bible was purchased for Dustin and Tyffany’s home and first used during their ceremony.

I love you, bridesmaids.

I know it’s out of order, but I wanted to save this photo for last. This moment unfolded just after they came back down the aisle, and it’s simply perfect.
