Last week I followed a red Kia Soul out into the country. Through pine trees. Over cattle guards. And onto the most perfect property for senior photos that I’ve ever seen. It was a dream, really, with a lake and dock, boats, outbuildings, and a back road covered with aspen leaves—fallen gold confetti.
And then there was Matea, who made this place even more delightlful. She is impossibly sweet, bright, and beautiful. And since we’re being honest, I was a little jealous of her outfits. She is so stylish, that if given the chance, I think I would hire her as my personal shopper. Unfortunately for me, she’s got much bigger things in her future. After Matea graduates, she plans on going to college and majoring in surgery technology.
