Motherhood, Newborn & Family Portraiture

Megan: Black Hills Senior Photographer

I love it when I get to photograph the same person or family more than once. It seems there’s always more to talk about, more in common, and the nerves are all but gone — because now we’re old friends. Not to mention how blessed it makes me feel to be invited back.

I first met Megan almost a year ago in Chadron, Nebraska for some casual photos of her and her brother. I loved working with two of them, and couldn’t wait to take her senior pictures in the Black Hills.  We started off downtown, then made our way up toward the Custer sign, and finished the session just inside Custer State Park where the light was golden and soft, barely peeking around the corner.

Megan was just as lovely as I remembered, and every bit as kind and smart and interesting.  She’s hoping to become a biological or genetic engineer. Impressive? Yes. The thought of all that math makes me slightly dizzy, but not Megan. In fact, she’s excited.

Megan and Kim, thank you so much for driving up to the hills for senior pictures! I can’t wait for “part two” in the fall, and to hear all about how your senior year is going. Enjoy some of my favorites!
