What was the most memorable moment from your wedding day?
Kendra Says: Jessica (our photographer) said something like, “look toward your husband.” And it gave me goosebumps. That was the first time I heard Jon called my husband.
Jon Says: Our first dance.
Jessica’s Take: Getting to spending time with both Jon and Kendra (separately) before the ceremony was especially wonderful. Their bridal party was so kind and excited, and I loved how comfortable they all felt. And the moment where Kendra walked up the aisle by both of her parents was really special—I love happy tears.
What was your favorite detail of the wedding day?
Kendra Says: My something borrowed was my veil, which I borrowed from my sister. It was Sort of cumbersome being so long, but it was just so special to share that with her. And my bouquet, I really loved that.
Jon Says: Getting to meet new family members.
Jessica’s Take: I loved Jon and Kendra’s stationary suite, the reception decor, and the guestbook. Everything was really beautiful, clean and modern, which made those elements of the day feel really cohesive. I was also smitten with the Kate Spade bracelet Kendra and all of her girls wore.
Any advice for other couples planning a wedding?
Jon & Kendra Say: Plan ahead. There’s no point in adding the stress of doing everything last minute to an event as big as a wedding. Jon and I had a long engagement, and I think that worked to our advantage in a lot of ways.
What’s the best part about being married so far?
Kendra Says: Everyone is just so happy for us. Even when I’m busy or stressed at work, someone will ask how the wedding went, and I get all giddy and gush about it some more. Just an instant mood boost thinking about our day!
Jon Says: Settling down and beginning the rest of our lives together!
