Cody & Bailey: Black Hills Wedding Photography

Cody and Bailey, thank you so much for being happy to take whatever came your way on this day with a smile and open heart. You made your vision for an intimate, simple, no-fuss day a reality, and I hope it was everything you hoped for!  Your love for one another shines brightly, and I feel incredibly honored that you chose me to document this special day. Enjoy a few of my favorites! —js

What was the most memorable part of your wedding day?

Bailey Says: My most memorable part of our wedding was when Cody saw me for the first time. I will never forget the look on his face when he first saw me.

Cody Says: The most memorable part for me was all the speeches. With having a small wedding almost everyone made a speech. It was so great to hear their support in our new marriage to one another, along with all the great stories they told.

Jessica’s Take: I followed Bailey, her mom, and her best friend to the ceremony site, and just as we arrived it began to rain. Their families were there already, sitting in white chairs with umbrellas. Bailey was so excited to see her groom, despite the rain, and it was really clear to me that this small wedding was exactly what Cody and Bailey dreamed about.

What was your favorite detail of the wedding day?

Bailey Says: My favorite detail of the wedding was how small the wedding was. I enjoyed being able to spend time with every person that was able to come.

Cody Says: My favorite detail was the location (a little spot Bailey found while out exploring), because it was not your everyday wedding site. I enjoyed being up in the middle of the Black Hills. We couldn’t have picked a better place, it was so peaceful and relaxing.

Jessica’s Take: I loved the baby’s breath lined aisle, their sweet golden retriever Roxy, and the location as a whole. It fit Cody and Bailey’s vision perfectly, and I liked that they weren’t afraid to think outside the box.

Any advice for other couples planning a wedding?

Cody and Bailey Say: We would both advise couples to do a smaller wedding. It was so much less stress, and you get to spend time with everyone that attends. You can still do everything you do at a big wedding, it’s just a lot more intimate.

What’s the best part of being married so far?

Cody and Bailey Say: We both think the best part of being married so far is just knowing we get to spend our lives together. There is no one we would rather be with. We are glad to be done with the wedding planing and excited to start working toward our new dreams as a couple.
