Andrew & BryAnn: Rapid City Wedding Photographer

Andrew and BryAnn, I don’t know if your wedding day could have been any more magical. You have both been such a pleasure to work with, and I simply cannot wait for you to visit Rapid City again so that we can catch up over chocolate croissants. Thank you over and over for letting me share this day with you. Enjoy a few of my favorites! —js

From the Bride and Groom…

What was the most memorable part of your wedding day?

BryAnn Says: I loved Andrew’s reaction when he first saw me in my wedding dress. The moments I had looked forward to were filled with joy—my father walking me down the aisle, saying my vows, and celebrating with our closest family and friends—and then there were unexpected moments that shaped the story of our wedding day, like when Andrew’s sisters each gave heartfelt readings during the ceremony and when Andrew and I took a moment to just stand together underneath the stars.

Andrew Says: Definitely the first look. After the months of planning and the week of chaos, I loved having a quiet moment to be with my beautiful new bride. Seeing her there for the first time made it all so real in the best way possible.

Jessica’s Take: After dinner, the bride and groom let me take them away for a few extra portraits. A very sweet (and very tiny) guest came over to BryAnn and said, “Hi, Cinderella!”. It was a small moment compared to many others, but I hope BryAnn always remembers it.

What was your favorite detail of the wedding day?

BryAnn Says: While I loved all of the details of the day, my favorite one was my wedding dress.

Andrew Says: My bride, of course! Seriously. Her dress, her hair, her make-up, her eyes, her smile, her radiant glow. I had to fight to keep my eyes off of her. I had such tunnel vision the rest of the day, every other detail seemed to fade in the background.

Jessica’s Take: BryAnn’s bouquet was perfection—girly and soft and timeless. And, I loved the homemade jam favors.

Any advice for other couples planning a wedding?

BryAnn Says: Start planning projects early, and don’t be afraid to enlist the help of family and friends. Also, take a honeymoon right after the wedding—it’s totally worth it.

Andrew Says: Start early and pace yourselves. Get the big stuff taken care of first and take care of the details a few at a time. Keep your wits about you and don’t second-guess yourselves. Listen to your gut.

What’s the best part of being married so far?

BryAnn Says: Being married feels like taking a long anticipated sigh of contentment. I love being married to Andrew and knowing that we are a team.

Andrew Says: The relief that we’ve finally made it and we are moving into the next phase of our lives as a team.
