Matt & Nicole: Black Hills Engagement Photography

Thanks to many blind phone conversations originally initiated by mutual friends, Matt and Nicole’s love for one another was in the making long before their first meeting. There was something brewing months before the question, “Do I go for the hug or the handshake?” arose.  By the time they were nervously approaching their first face-to-face encounter, it was obvious that things could get serious. And that serious would be perfectly okay with them.

Matt & Nicole were able to make it to the hills for engagement photos just in time for our very first snowfall, and not a moment before the leaves submitted to the cold and fell from their branches. I loved hearing their story, and felt so lucky to get spend the morning with them. Sylvan Lake was quiet and still, and the weather we were given was perfect for snuggling.

Matt & Nicole, thank you so much for asking me to document this time in your lives. I had such a good time wandering around in the cold with you. It would have been perfect, had we only thought to bring our own hot chocolate. 🙂 Enjoy a few of my favorites!

My favorite. So beautiful, Nicole.

Another beautiful photo session by Jessica. My fave has to be the one where the tall pine trees frame the couple. They are all lovely.
