Josh & Emma: Black Hills Wedding Photographer

For years they’ve been the best of friends, taken care of one another, and made each other laugh. This day, where everything was made beautifully official, was a long time in the making for college sweethearts Emma and Josh.

As I’ve gotten to know Emma and Josh better, something has become apparent through conversations and ideas and stories. All that they have—be it their garden or their Scout or their relationship, deeply matters to them. They want to build things that last, and to nurture what is most important. They put time, effort, and a piece of themselves into everything they do,  and then share it with those they care about.

It made watching them say their vows especially meaningful. Everyone present could see what they’ve been building together since they’d met. We knew the care that will be taken to help their marriage grow, and how much they’ll give of themselves in order to have a love that lasts.

Emma and Josh, thank you so much for having me as your wedding photographer. I adore the two of you, and hope your day was everything you wanted, and then some. I can’t wait to hear about Maine! Enjoy a few of my favorites!

I love first looks, and this next photo might be my favorite from the day. Such genuine smiles.

So lovely.

Instead of a unity candle or sand ceremony, Emma and Josh planted this lemon tree. It was perfect for them.

Married!

Models! 🙂

Emma’s homemade preserves were given to guests as wedding favors.

Sorry, in my comment above it was supposed to say “the love that Josh and Emma have for each other”. Thanks again for having me as part of the wedding!
