Allie & Aaron: Black Hills Wedding Photographer

It’s a personal thing, getting married.  Allie and Aaron wanted something simple. Something meaningful. And something truly theirs—which is why they couldn’t think of anything better than to have their closest friends and family surround them as they vowed to forever.

The Reunion Cabin in Custer State Park was filled with homespun details and family heirlooms. Everyone present was given a handmade felt corsage or boutonniere, lovingly assembled in blues, greens and creams. Embroidered napkins lined a family-style table and enveloped a booklet of time-tested recipes. Each guest blessed the couple’s wedding rings during the ceremony, and the bride and groom’s new life together began with a toast, favorite family foods, and simply being together. Aaron and Allie seeped through each element of their day, and to only say it was personal wouldn’t quite do it justice.

Allie, Aaron, and family, thank you so much for making my last wedding of 2011 a warm and memorable one. I hope you enjoy my favorites.

Love this photo of Allie. It makes me smile.

Usually my favorite photo from the day is a portrait, but today it’s this shot of Allie’s dad blessing the rings during their ceremony.

Jessica–I love the picture of Bryan blessing the rings too, especially the ‘fortune teller’ in the other hand. 🙂

Just looking at your photos again and still am amazed at the way you capture moments and can take me back to that beautiful time.

What a beautiful wedding and again, Jessica, you captured it, nailed it, got it, did it! Beautiful work.
