A lot can change in a year’s time.

I met up with Aric, Katie, Will and Hayden this past weekend for the twins’ one year portraits. I could hardly believe it when I saw them in their car seats, looking so much like I remember them —and at the same time— so grown. Their first year of living has brought learning to walk, laughing out loud and clapping of hands. It has let their smiles and differences begin to shine. Time has left alone the shape of their ears, Hayden’s almond eyes, and Wills swirling cowlick.

Katie, Aric and I spent a hilarious afternoon running like crazy after babies who were getting braver by the minute. Although time is responsible for their growth, it’s easy to see that their parents have given them happiness.

Aric and Katie, you have such a gorgeous family. I loved getting to spend time with you and the kids again. Thank you! Enjoy some of my favorites.
